I think I’m going to start telecommuting more. I have a nice computer workstation at home. Why not use it for good instead of slacking? I like staying home anyway. There’s no pressure; you can work at your own pace. The only problem is my opposition. Bill wants me at the office every day. What’s the point? What can I do there that I can’t do here? Back in the days of typewriters and rotary phones, I would see his point. But these are the days of the Internet, VPNs and instant/text messaging. My primary reasoning behind telecommuting is the money I save. I really have to conserve on the traveling. Gas prices are stupidly high and I have bills to pay. I’m really not that well off for someone who does the kind of work I do.

The more I think about it, the less I think my opinion matters to some on this. I’ve really restrained myself from saying what I really want to say in this blog entry. In fact, it kinda pisses me off that I can’t do my own thing. I’ve been suckered back onto the sinking ship. Time to jump off again.
