Fun Facts!
- I’m left-handed. However, I wear (or used to, anyway) watches on my left wrist and use scissors with my right hand.
- I’m a tubist and proud of it. If you have about $10,000 and want to make me happy, buy me a Yamaha YBB641.
- A while back I wrote a standards-compliant SAME (Specific Area Message Encoding) encoder that was noticed by several people including students at the University of Oklahoma.
- In the past, I’ve been a podcaster, run a web-based strategy game not once but twice, and been operator of an established channel on the Undernet IRC network. I get around.
- I have a few sort-of homonyms on the internet. One lives in Texas from what I can glean and another in Alabama. I actually got an email from that one’s mother.
- My car’s license plate reads “09 F9″. Really. I bought my car on the day of that Digg meltdown and I only felt it was appropriate.
- I travel quite a bit so chances are if you are anywhere in the Midwest you have a chance of encountering me. Look for the aforementioned license plate.
- I’m the ringleader of a ragtag group of folks in my town I like to call “Twitterites”. We all use Twitter, go figure. We have a web site too.
- I’ve only bought one lottery ticket in my life, and even then it wasn’t until my 19th birthday. I still lost.
- I have some of the craziest dreams ever and the ones that I remember, I usually blog about in the hopes that someone, somewhere, will be able to tell me what the hell it MEANS.
- I have a thing about being too open and transparent here. I guess I want to dupe everyone else into thinking I’m a stronger person than I really am, and convince myself in the process.
- I was part of a group that developed and maintained an award-winning high school web site. The award didn’t come until three years after we all graduated and the site went down the crapper. They apparently thought it was still good, which is saying something.
