Blog away

I went out on a limb and installed WordPress MU on this server. If you live in Owensboro and want a blog visit http://owensblogo.com/.
I know the domain name is the cheesiest thing ever. BUT… this is the result of me learning that yes, BIND 9 does in fact support wildcard domains.

WorldWars

I run this game right now. I’ll admit, it doesn’t have a large player base as of yet.  At the most, we have 20 people playing and maybe four teams. If you are even remotely interested in text-based games, give this game a try.
WorldWars is an extremely old game, though the format has changed a [...]

Working on an iUI version of DrewBurden.com

I downloaded Joe Hewitt’s iUI toolkit and I’m presently working on an iVersion if my web site. It’s kinda freaky that you can totally put all the pages in one big file, but you shouldn’t really go too big because it may crash the Safari browser. (I get that occasionally while loading large pages.) I’m [...]

I need pants.

Is that subject line random enough? I actually do need pants. I have a strange feeling that business is about to pick up and I need to dress professionale. The letter E at the end there is intentional.
I’ve been up all night playing with my webserver. As in MY webserver. At the office building. [...]

Pidgin 2.0.2 with MSIM; internet woes; DrewBurden.com is finally complete

The Pidgin developers are on the ball. They released Pidgin 2.0.2 and I’ve countered with a new version of my unofficial MySpaceIM-enabled Win32 build. This one has version 0.7 of Jeff Connelly’s protocol plugin. (A lot more stuff actually works in the newer version. Still no word on if the login process still fails on [...]

Status report

I’m still in the process of getting all my web sites off the Common Tech server. Here’s what I got so far:
geekchat.us: Moved to Wordpress.com. You’re reading it, duhhh.
fragforjes.us: Moved. Now it’s on a dinky little server on a cable internet connection in a closet in the office building I work in. This should end [...]

Still shuffling…

I’m no longer hosting my own blog, but this may be just temporary. I like the fact I don’t have to keep WordPress updated now…
DrewBurden.com may go offline for a few days soon. That means my apps won’t work, but you’ll survive. I’m also going to Louisville today. I get to take my new car [...]

Shuffling.

I’m in the process of consolidating all my stuff on the web to DrewBurden.com. I’ll start using that as my primary web contact point, and I’ll renew geekchat.us and nedrub.com for one additional year to allow everyone to adjust the email change. After that, I’m dropping the domains. I like the design I’ve put together [...]
