The projects are back

I have spent several hours bringing back all my old projects, like the SAME encoder and MySpaceDP. It was tough getting the SAME encoder working since I don’t have SoX or lame at my disposal on this server. I guess that’s the price you pay for shared hosting. I found a PHP script that splices [...]

“Sweet dreams” or “OH G-D THE THEMATIC OVERLOAD”

Taking a page from the old habits of the one and only Dariush on the titling here. It’s only appropriate since he has more than normal to do with the story I’m telling tonight.
You will quickly see where I’m going with the post title. My site (as well as a couple of others) are now [...]

Back home.

Due to a seriously baffling chain of events this morning, my web site is now back on my very trusty server at the Loch Raven Building.
Shortest. Blog post. EVAR.

Shuffling … again

Hey, if you’ve read my blog before I want you to look at your browser’s location bar. Notice how that little blog/ thing is gone now?
I decided I should start using a CMS but I didn’t want to lose my blog. Therefore, I figured I should take a page out of Brad Turcotte’s book and [...]

Doing some WordPress theming

Since I’m getting sick of us using DotNetNuke as a solve-all CMS system at work, I’m going to be playing around some. Don’t mind this blog looking like something totally different at times over the next few days.

The birthday, the death, ANOTHER migration and upcoming changes

I’m 20 now.
Yep. You know it. And for the third year in a row, I can honestly say my birthday sucked. I had to work… it was just like any other day. At least there’s hope for 21, which as of this writing is 358 days away and is the last one to have any [...]

A new home

If you can see this blog post, you are accessing DrewBurden.com at its new home on a server owned by me. I’ll have to see how things go before posting a status update sometime soon. Maybe now I’ll blog a bit more.

The roadmap looking forward

Ever since I put DrewBurden.com online last year, it’s been hosted on a server about 2000 miles away in Irvine, California. That server has served (hah, served) us well, and thanks to new developments at work, we’re soon getting a few servers colo’d right here in Owensboro. Since I personally do not make the money [...]

Immigration

I just imported all my old posts from geekchat.wordpress.com to this blog. Welcome them, and feel free to read some of them.

Let’s try this again

So I’m blogging again. With the demise of my Geek Chat family of blogs and the horrible disaster that is MySpace blogging, I figured I would do a real blog. So here I am. I’m working on replacing that Corvette header image with something that’s more like me. Maybe a blue-tinted picture of a PCB. [...]
